Over the years, I’ve taught a handful of workshops on product photography. While I’m not actively teaching anymore, I’ve decided to make the slides from these workshops available again — as a legacy resource.

FAQs

  • No, this course is designed for makers and beginner photographers who want to master the basics of product photography. You'll learn everything you need to know, from equipment to composition, through a series of engaging videos.

  • You'll need a camera (even a smartphone camera will work!) and a few props and surfaces. Anything else is a bonus. We'll cover all of this in more detail in the course.

  • Once you pay your course fee you'll gain access to all videos and guides inside the course. You can work your way through the course at your own pace, and you can join the Facebook group for support and to connect with other makers learning to photograph their products. 

  • Once you sign up for the course you'll have lifetime access, which includes any updates to the content which I make in the future.

  • The course is designed for makers of small to medium-sized products, such as ceramics, beauty or skincare products, small to medium homeware items, children's clothing or toys, jewellery, food products, stationary and artwork, fashion accessories, and more. However, it is not recommended for clothing brands or makers of large products.

  • Yes! You’re welcome to join our private Facebook group, Photography for Makers, where you can connect with other makers and creatives. Please note, though — these are legacy courses and are no longer being updated or actively supported, so while the group is a great space for community, there’s no direct course support available.

  • These courses focus specifically on styling, flat lay and lifestyle techniques and do not cover how to use a camera. However, I have plans for future courses that will delve into camera basics and other related topics.

  • The courses do cover some aspects of lighting, such as how different lighting styles can enhance your brand's message. However, it is not a comprehensive course on lighting techniques. I recommend seeking out additional resources if you want to further develop your lighting skills.

  • No, this course focuses exclusively on product photography styling and does not cover editing techniques. However, I plan to explore this topic in future courses, so stay tuned!
