Lightroom Edit in 15 Minutes
You’ve taken the shot—now it’s time to give it that final polish. As a little bonus, I’ve put together a short video tutorial where I walk you through a super simple edit using the Lightroom mobile app. It’s just 15 minutes, and I promise it’s beginner-friendly.
In the video, I’ll show you how to take a decent image and give it that clean, professional finish—right from your phone. We’ll walk through the key steps I use in most of my edits:
– Culling: choosing the best images to work with and marking the rest for deletion. If you’re shooting a lot, good file hygiene is essential.
– Cropping: how to use the crop tool and make sure your images are sized correctly for wherever they’re going—Instagram, your website, online store, etc.
– Adjusting light: bringing out the best in your image with a few tweaks to brightness, contrast, and shadows.
– Colour tweaks: fine-tuning your tones to get the look you want—natural, warm, moody, or bold.
– Bonus tool – masking: a quick demo of how to brighten or tone down specific areas of an image for more control and polish.
This is a great little workflow if you want your photos to look polished but still natural—and you don’t want to spend hours fiddling around.
Whether you’re editing product shots for your shop, styling content for socials, or just want your DIY photos to look a bit more pro, this process is a solid place to start.
