The
Process

  • We’ll start with a relaxed conversation to understand your event, your goals, and what you want captured. Whether it’s a market, a restaurant opening, a festival, or a private celebration, this is where we talk through timing, style, and any specific moments you want highlighted.

  • Once we’ve agreed on the approach, I’ll help plan the practical details: locations, schedule, key people to capture, and any shots you definitely want. I’ll also give tips on lighting, timing, and flow to make sure the day runs smoothly and naturally.

  • On the day, I work unobtrusively to capture authentic moments — the atmosphere, the people, and the little details that tell the story of your event. Whether it’s a buzzing festival, an intimate gathering, or a bustling market, I focus on creating images that feel real and alive.

  • After the event, I carefully select and edit images to ensure consistency, vibrancy, and storytelling impact. The aim is a gallery that makes you relive the day and gives you content you can proudly share.

  • You’ll receive your final images via an easy-to-use online gallery. I’ll also share tips on how to use your photos for social media, websites, and marketing — helping your event live on long after it’s over.

From markets and festivals to restaurant openings and private celebrations, every event has its own energy and story. Here, I share practical tips and inspiration to help your event shine — from timing, lighting, and key moments to watch for, to how to make attendees feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Use these ideas to make the most of your event photography and create images that truly capture the spirit of the day.

Inspiration & Tips

 FAQs

  • I work with a wide variety of events — from product launches, festivals, and live music to markets, gallery openings, conferences, and community gatherings. No matter the size or type, my goal is to capture the energy, atmosphere, and story of your event.

  • Event coverage varies depending on the type and scale. Sessions typically range from a couple of hours for small gatherings, up to full-day coverage for festivals, conferences, or large celebrations. We can discuss the right amount of time to capture all the key moments.

  • Not at all! If you have key moments or people you want captured, that’s helpful, but I’ll also scout the space and naturally capture the atmosphere, interactions, and details that tell the story of your event.

  • Absolutely. Including the people, performances, and spaces that make your event unique adds depth and context to your imagery. We’ll plan together to make it flow smoothly and naturally.

  • This depends on the duration and type of event, but you can expect a curated selection of high-quality images that showcase the highlights, atmosphere, and story of the day. I can also provide additional images for purchase if needed.

  • At this stage, I’m focusing on photography for events, so video coverage is not included. However, I always aim to capture a dynamic and engaging story through my images.

  • I recommend booking as early as possible — ideally 4–6 weeks for smaller events and longer for larger or festival-type events. This ensures I have the time to plan and prepare to capture your event perfectly.
