On Assignment: Spring Festival at Distillery Road Markets
This Spring Festival at Distillery Road Markets was a big one — packed with live music, handmade goods, local food, and a lively crowd soaking up the sunshine.
As the photographer on the ground, my challenge was covering all corners of this sprawling venue: the outdoor stage with bands playing throughout the day, the buzzing Perentie Bar where people gathered with drinks in hand, the Fed Hall food precinct with its own lineup of live acts and flavour-packed eats, and the Market Hall filled with handmade creations and passionate stallholders.
Shooting at DRM means moving fast — the venue is huge, and the schedule is full. My focus was on staying ahead of the action, weaving between zones, and building a visual story that captured the energy, variety, and community vibe of the day as it unfolded.
Need your event covered from every angle?
Big spaces, packed schedules, and fast-moving moments are my thing. If you’re after event photography that tells the full story, I’d love to chat.
